About Our Start
Hello, my name is Wendi Manwiller. I was in a very bad car accident which left me paralyzed and in a wheelchair. After seventeen months in a wheelchair and a lot of hard work, I proved the doctors wrong and walked out of the hospital.
After my accident I was not able to perform my duties as a physical therapist and was trying to decide what to do with my life. We first wanted to take a family vacation to celebrate my recovery. Having four dogs, the question was, “what to do with the dogs when we went away?” Our personal decision was not to kennel. “Do we have family or friends watch them?” No, didn’t want to impose on them. That’s when the idea struck me, there must be other people out there with the same dilemma. After our vacation, I decided to go into the pet sitting business.
Growing up with animals all my life and loving them dearly, it would be the perfect job for me. I went back to school to get my vet tech license to better prepare myself for any emergencies that might arise. I offered dog walking and visits to customers homes. Since then the business has grown to what it is today.
I provide a full array of services: dog walking, home visits for daytrips and vacations, and I also provide transport to and from the groomer and the vet.
There are many pet sitters out there that don’t offer what I do in regards to services. I take pride in owning my own business now for 20 years and have over 300 established clients. I offer a variety of services to fit every individual need and I am extremely flexible when it comes to giving my clients pets the care and love that they need. I employ five pet sitters, both full and part-time. I am available 365 days a year and let my clients know well ahead of time if I will be taking vacation myself.
